Reviews and Ratings
I felt like I was floating on a cloud in the split level King room, which was very nice and comfortable, though it could do with an upgrade. The first night was very cold despite the heater being on.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The location was superb, surrounded by nature and close to Cradle Mountain National Park, offering a relaxing escape. However, the room was extremely dated, and the bed was uncomfortably hard, affecting my overall stay.
The hotel offers a unique experience with the chance to spot wallabies and wombats from the rooms, although the decor could be cozier like a cafeteria. The service was exceptional, except for a minor issue with overcharging. The location is ideal for exploring Cradle Mountain National Park, with small balconies in each room. The dining experience was a bit mixed, with items running out early, but the takeout option was convenient.
My stay at the hotel was truly a wildlife experience as I got to watch the local Australian wildlife from my window. The spa bath was a lovely addition, and the food options catered to all tastes. However, being woken up at around 5 am by a passing truck was a drawback.
The hotel offers a great view of the bush surroundings from the quite large rooms with wooden furniture and modern design, although the bathroom feels a little outdated. The service was friendly and accommodating, especially during busy times. The location provides easy access to shuttle services to the mountain, but lacks a bit of atmosphere despite the beautiful surroundings. The dining experience was somewhat odd with limited items available, but the overall value for money was decent.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were very clean and well-appointed, but could use some soundproofing. The overpriced rates led to minimal and uncomfortable sleep, although the buffet breakfast was stunning with a great shower and amazing king bed.
The room was fairly basic and not quite up to our expectations considering the price, but it was convenient being close to the restaurant and by the exit door at Cradle Mountain Hotel. The service was outstanding overall, with staff going above and beyond to make us feel at home, though one front desk staff was not consistently friendly. The location was stunning, surrounded by bushland and with easy access to Cradle Mountain and the National Park trails. The dining experience was mixed, with great food at a high price, but limited breakfast options for those with sensitive stomachs. The facilities were satisfactory overall.
